As the PCI community continues to grow in the European region, the PCI Council is pleased to invite you to join us and more than 600 global payment security leaders for the 7th annual PCI SSC European Community Meeting in Berlin.

This is an exciting time to be involved in this annual forum. Not only have we increased involvement in Europe over the past year, but after publishing version 3.0 of the PCI DSS and PA-DSS in 2013, we’ll be formally kicking off the feedback period for the next revision. Also, with so many technology developments, we’ll discuss our latest standards and program updates that together will help us secure the future of payments.

Based on your feedback we have made a number of changes to both the format and content for this year’s meetings. Perhaps most significant is that we’ve extended the main event from two to three days, including a technology symposium for all PCI stakeholders. Additionally, we’ve built in several technology–focused sessions, including the latest updates on tokenization, point-to-point encryption, as well as higher-level business-focused content specific to the merchant audience and those who might be newer to PCI. With an ever growing community and population of first time attendees, we’ll also be running a special welcome and orientation session on the Council and how to get the most out of your time at this annual gathering.  As always, we’ll be bringing in some of the top industry experts to discuss the latest forensics and data security landscape.

Once again your peers will share their payment security challenges and successes via the “PCI in Practice” case study sessions, but this year, we’ll have even more time on the agenda devoted to these. And, because Special Interest Groups are such popular ways for you to participate in the Council’s work, we’ve made sure these presentations are at a time on the agenda when everyone interested can attend.

Participating in the 2014 meeting is your chance to learn, share knowledge and network with the largest global community dedicated to payment security. We hope you’ll plan to join us in Berlin.
